Everyone who is familiar with digital editing knows you can use Adobe Photoshop to cut-out subjects in photos. This is made very easy by the latest releases of Photoshop which can automatically cut-out any subject with one-click. Now, Apple is giving Photoshop a run for its money when it comes to isolating a subject and removing it from photos.
In the latest release of iOS16 for the iPhone, you can simply open an image in the native Photos app, press and hold on a subject (person or thing) and it will automatically cut it out and allow you to share it. You can even AirDrop it to a Mac and it will give you a PNG file with a transparent background.
In this quick video, I’ll demonstrate these two types of “cut-outs” using both Photoshop and the iPhone to see how has the best result in the end.
